The festive kick-off of the "BookStart in a childcare" project at Rollebol Children's Centers in Alkmaar will take place on Wednesday 24 January at 09.00:XNUMX.
With the signing of the contract, a structural collaboration between the two institutions starts with the aim of promoting reading with very young children and allowing parents with young children to enjoy a current collection of books.
Festive kick-off
Alderman Elly Konijn of education and childcare comes to the Rollebol daycare center at Faktorij 129 and reads the award-winning picture book from the National Reading Days, “Shhhh! The tiger is sleeping”. Then the opening act takes place. When the contracts have been signed, the children can unwrap a present (book).
Book start in childcare
Consultants from the Kennemerwaard Library are already active in primary schools in Alkmaar in the field of language and reading promotion and media literacy. This trend is now also being extended to nurseries and playgroups. Consultants from the Kennemerwaard Library support pedagogical employees of the daycare centers in the field of language and other reading promotion activities.
This was made possible in part by a subsidy from the municipality of Alkmaar.
