Daycare center Rollebol has 4 horizontal groups for babies, toddlers, toddlers and three-year-olds, toddler care and after-school care.
baby group
The baby group consists of a maximum of 12 children per day and there are four pedagogical employees present in the group. There is always a permanent group leader who is known to the child. In this way a good relationship of trust with the child can be built and maintained.
The babies have their own daily rhythm with regard to sleeping and eating. During the intake interview, the rhythm of the child is discussed with the parents/carers, so that the leaders can keep to the same schedule as at home as much as possible. When the baby can participate in a fixed rhythm, this group of children eats, drinks and sleeps at set times. When the children have reached the age of 12 months, they move on to the toddler group.
toddler group
There is a maximum of 15 children per day in the toddler group. There are then three pedagogical employees present in the group. A fixed daily rhythm is used in the toddler group; the times at which people eat, drink and sleep are almost the same every day. This gives the children something to hold on to and predictability in what will happen.
In addition to the fixed daily rhythm, activities are offered in the form of games, singing, dance or a Uk & Puk craft activity. In this way they become acquainted with the branch-wide themes of Uk & Puk. The pedagogical staff are certified to give the activities. The children are free to participate. They can also choose to play by themselves or with other children. The pedagogical employees have an eye for the development and the ongoing learning path of the children. An attempt is made to encourage the children to participate in group activities.
The toddler group and toddler group are connected by a sliding wall. This gives the opportunity to let the children play together in one group room. The outdoor play area with a large sandbox and lots of play equipment is also shared. The advantage for the children is that they have more opportunities to play and that they become more familiar with all the children and pedagogical staff of the daycare center.
When the children have reached the age of 24 months, they move on to the toddler group.
toddler group
The toddler group consists of a maximum of 16 children. There are two pedagogical employees present in this group. The children remain in this group until they are 3 years old. In the toddler group, too, a daily rhythm is used, in which people eat, drink and sleep at fixed times. The potty training also starts at the toddler group. When parents indicate that they have started training at home, our employees will also start working on this. The toddler group has four mini toilets where you can practice.
In the toddler group, the Uk & Puk program is taught by certified pedagogical staff. They also do this to develop the broad development of the children in a continuous line. When the children have reached the age of 3, they move on to the three-plus group.
Three-plus group
There is a maximum of 16 children per day in the three-plus group and there are two pedagogical employees. The three-plus children stay on the other side of the building, close to the BSO so that they can get used to going to school. Sufficient toys and development materials are available in the group. This group regularly visits primary school 't Baeken, to get a taste of what is going on at school. They participate in school activities in the mornings. On the one hand, the child discovers itself and the world around it by playing freely with all kinds of materials and with other children. On the other hand, the pedagogical staff try to stimulate the children's development by regularly offering suitable activities and materials. Our pedagogical employees in the three-plus group use the pre-school education program Uk & Puk, just like the previous groups. In this group, the way to school will be discussed more and the activities will be adapted to the age of these children. This is a playful total program. With Uk & Puk, toddlers can be taught skills that enable a good start at primary school. Including cognitive development, language development, learning to interact with others, independence, budding literacy and budding numeracy. The development of the child will be discussed with the parents and, in consultation with them, also with the future primary school. In this way we keep the continuous learning path of the children intact.
nursery
The toddler care has a maximum of 16 children per day and two pedagogical employees. The toddlers have a fixed daily program, always based on a theme. We ensure that your child is optimally prepared for going to school with a VVE program.
School care
At the after-school care we offer before-school and after-school care in 2 groups of a maximum of 20 children. Activities are offered at the BSO after the table moment. To make these activities as challenging as possible, we offer theme-oriented activities in the age categories 4+, 6+ and 8+. We want to give children the opportunity to grow with a challenging day program, personal attention and variety in activities.
The following main themes are discussed on a rotating basis in a four-weekly cycle:
- Art & creative
- Nature & Technology
- Music-dance & theatre
- Sport game
We want to stimulate the broad development of the child with the various themes. Sports and games are a daily recurring theme, because we consider exercise an important aspect within the development of the child. That is why this part will be part of the BSO program on a daily basis. The fifth theme "Education & homework guidance" can be used at the request of parents.
