The Baby Groups
To give babies the necessary rest, Skippybol has three separate baby groups. There is always a permanent group leader who is known to your child. In this way, a good relationship of trust with your child can be built and maintained. During the intake interview, the rhythm of your child will be discussed with you as parents/carers, so that the teachers can keep to the same schedule as at home as much as possible. When the baby can participate in a fixed rhythm, this group of children eats, drinks and sleeps at set times. When the children have reached an age of about 24 months, they move on to the vertical group. For this we let your child practice a few times, under the supervision of the permanent pedagogical employee.
From Toddler to 3+
The four toddler and three+ groups, with a maximum of 16 children per group, have a vertical layout. This means that children aged 1,5-4 are placed in a mixed group, this division offers many advantages. In this way, your child does not have to change groups during the period at the nursery and young and 'old' can learn from each other.
All play, group and sleeping areas are optimally designed for the age of the children and offer learning materials, toys and activities that suit every developmental stage between 0 and 4 years. The children are encouraged to develop further. Just as in the baby groups, predictability, continuity and positive incentives are central in the toddler groups. We would rather teach children to choose for themselves than to offer them everything.
School care
From the age of 4 you can use the after-school care at Skippybol BSO. We offer before-school, after-school and after-school care at out-of-school care. Activities are offered at the BSO after the table moment. To make these activities as challenging as possible, we offer theme-oriented activities in the age categories 4+, 6+ and 8+. We want to give children the opportunity to grow with a challenging day program, personal attention and variety in activities.
We want to stimulate the broad development of the child with the various themes. Sports and games are a daily recurring theme, because we consider exercise an important aspect within the development of the child. That is why this part will be part of the BSO program on a daily basis. The fifth theme "Education & homework guidance" can be used at the request of parents.
Your child is central
The child with its personality and needs is central. Children are allowed to be who they are and they can further explore their world in a familiar environment. The children are encouraged to develop further. Just as in the baby groups, predictability, continuity and positive incentives are central in the toddler groups. We would rather teach children to choose for themselves than to offer them everything. Here too, we ensure that children get used to it quickly through practice and extra attention during the first times. Meetings while playing outside also ensure that all children and pedagogical staff know each other.
