Rollebol is a private and professional childcare organization for parents who attach great importance to quality, service and flexibility. Our service package is optimally tailored to your requirements and wishes. We not only offer regular but also extended care. For children from 6 weeks to 4 years there is day care (KDV), from 2 years there is toddler care (POA) and from 4 years there is out-of-school care (BSO).

Daycare
This form of childcare is intended for children aged from 6 weeks to 4 years, when they start school. Leaving your child in the nursery for the first time is a big step, so we provide an environment that is safe and familiar. Your child will be lovingly cared for by professional pedagogical staff.
The daycare center is open all year round, including during (school) holidays, from Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 19.00:XNUMX. Rollebol kindergartens uses both vertical and horizontal group divisions. Stability is an important starting point for our pedagogical actions.
We provide responsible (bread) meals, fresh fruit and snacks. Special wishes are discussed with the parents. Eating a hot meal can be offered as an extra service that can be used on request. Of course we will regularly gauge the needs of the parents regarding our opening hours.
We offer pre-school education (VVE) at all locations with day care, such as Rollebol children's centre, Olke Bolke children's centre, Skippybol children's centre, Stoombol children's center and Holderdebolder children's centre. This also applies to the locations where Toddler Care is offered, such as Rollebol, Knikkebol, Holderdebolder, Stoombol, Bolleboos and Bouterbol. This is fun and educational for your child and forms a good preparation for primary school. Rollebol children's centers believe it is important to offer children optimal development opportunities.
Discovery play with VVE (pre-school and early childhood education) The VVE program stimulates your child's development in a playful way. The development of the language is given attention, but all other areas of development are also discussed. Not only the activities that the pedagogical employees offer, but also the play material and the layout of our accommodation play a role in this.
By paying extra attention to development, we prepare your child well for primary school and increase the chance of a smooth transition to education. Before your child starts primary school, the pedagogical employee makes a transfer. In the parent meeting you will be offered this transfer to read for yourself first. This will be provided to the primary school after your consent.
Four eyes principle at the nursery A pedagogical employee is not alone inside or outside with one or more children, without anyone being able to see and/or hear him/her. The accommodation is built in such a way that there is a good view of your own group, the neighboring group and the changing room. The rooms are transparent with lots of glass in the walls and doors and baby monitors are available in all bedrooms. The locations are secured with biometric access control. Only permanent employees and on-call workers who are well acquainted with the location open and close. Pedagogical staff work together at the beginning and end of the day. The office opens at 07.00:18.00 with a minimum of two employees. At the end of the day, between 19:00 PM and XNUMX:XNUMX PM, two employees close. This can be indoors and outdoors. There are never two stand-in employees on one group at the same time, where necessary, a permanent employee is exchanged. The four-eyes principle is a legal regulation aimed at making childcare safer.
Fixed faces Rollebol children's centers always ensure that emotional safety is offered to children. This means, among other things, that each child is placed in one permanent group with the associated permanent pedagogical staff. In some situations it is necessary to make an exception to this, for example at the beginning and/or end of the care day when fewer children are present. The groups are then merged. Groups can also be combined during holidays or days with a structurally lower occupancy. We always follow the professional-child ratio from the Childcare Act.
Which branches are a daycare center?
nursery
This form of childcare is intended for children between the ages of 2 and 4, when they start school. The toddler care is open for 4 hours a day during school weeks.
We offer your toddler a safe place to play and stimulate the development of your child in a broad sense. The children learn to play together, share together and deal with rules and agreements. We also stimulate language development by talking a lot with each other, listening to each other, reading stories, telling stories and singing songs. In the meantime, the leaders keep a close eye on your child's development; think of motor and language development, but also learning to play with other children. If extra attention is needed in one of these areas, the pedagogical staff will respond immediately.
Discovery play
We offer pre-school education (VVE) at all locations with toddler care. This is fun and educational for your child and is a good preparation for primary school.

Child care costs
The Municipality of Alkmaar wants to offer all children a good start at primary school. That is why she ensures that affordable, high-quality childcare is available for all toddlers in Alkmaar.
At Rollebol, you pay a fixed amount per hour for the toddler care. You will be reimbursed part of the costs via the childcare allowance from the Tax and Customs Administration. If no childcare allowance is possible, the Municipality of Alkmaar will pay a subsidy to the toddler care for two half-days per week. You then only pay an income-related contribution. If your child has an VVE indication, he/she can go to the toddler care for four half-days. The third and fourth half of the day are fully subsidized by the Municipality of Alkmaar.
Rollebol uses a rate set by the municipality of Alkmaar. In this way we ensure that the toddler care remains accessible to everyone.

Which locations offer Toddler Care?
Out-of-school care
As soon as your child starts primary school, there is the option of after-school care. This childcare is intended for children aged 4 to 12 years. Responsible (bread) meals, fresh fruit and snacks are provided during the reception. Special wishes are discussed with the parents. For the "late stays" there is a hot meal.
The BSO at Rollebol consists of:

At some locations, the children are picked up from school on foot under the supervision of the teachers and taken to after-school care. Our Rollebol cars are used for other locations; the children are picked up by the pedagogical staff member and go to after-school care together. The opening hours are aligned with the school times of the schools that are affiliated with the after-school care of Rollebol children's centers in Alkmaar. The children are free in their choice of play, with time and attention for the children individually. Within the after-school care, the teachers guide the children in interacting with each other. Children learn to listen to each other, to share and to play together. At the out-of-school care, there are always sufficient pedagogical employees per group; they have an educating, guiding and caring task.
Theme BSO
Activities are offered at the BSO after the table moment. To make these activities as challenging as possible, we offer theme-oriented activities in the age categories 4+, 6+ and 8+. We want to give children the opportunity to grow with a challenging day program, personal attention and variety in activities. The main themes are dealt with on a rotating basis in a four-weekly cycle.
We want to stimulate the broad development of the children with the various themes. Sports and games are a daily recurring theme, because we believe that exercise is an important aspect of a child's development. That is why this part will be part of the BSO program on a daily basis.
Subscribe after-school care is possible if your child has reached the age of 3 years.
Which locations offer Out-of-School Care?
Extended care, "to be scheduled" care and flexible care
Not all parents work from 09 a.m. to 00 p.m. Monday through Friday. With the introduction of the 17-hour working week, longer days are made in favor of, for example, an extra day off per week (following the weekend).
Shifted shifts and shifts are also common, whereby parents are not always able to find solutions for the care of the child. We at Rollebol childcare centers see that the childcare centers in general offer insufficient options to meet the childcare needs. This mainly concerns parents who work irregular hours, such as work schedules for a certain period or even uncertain working hours.
Rollebol children's centers wants to color in the need for flexible and extended childcare for you as a customer within its possibilities. Rollebol childcare centers thus picks up on the signal from the market and distinguishes itself positively from other daycare centers by offering specific forms of childcare. We offer not only regular but also extended childcare, day parts to be scheduled and flexible childcare for children from 6 weeks to 12 years.
With regular childcare, your child is scheduled for fixed parts of the day, from which there is limited possibility of deviation. There is an arrangement for exchange days. For day parts to be scheduled, you indicate by means of monthly or quarterly schedules at which time you want childcare. In addition, Rollebol childcare centers offer a unique package of both extended care and flexible care. These forms of reception are clearly distinguishable from each other.

Flexible childcare at Rollebol childcare centers means that childcare is offered, with the option of varying the number of days. Practice shows that as a parent you clearly need to open earlier and close later. Many parents in our region (commuters) have to hurry (traffic jam problem) to get back to the childcare center on time from work. Open earlier and close later gives you more comfort.
Within our childcare centers we speak of extended care if the childcare center is open longer than the usual 9 to 10 hours. Our children's centers are open 12 hours a day from 07:00 to 19:00. This means that Rollebol children's centers open their doors earlier than usual in the morning and close later in the evening. Many variants of this service are conceivable, which will be further intensified depending on the requirements and wishes of the parents.
A combination of both extended and flexible childcare is also possible at Rollebol childcare centres, which is of course obvious. However, the degree of flexibility within the extended care can vary. With us you can make use of a tailor-made service package.
