On Wednesday September 30, there was a small party in the Snaarmanslaan for the children of primary school Bello and Kindercentrum Stoombol. Since the 2018-2019 school year, they have joined forces to realize full-fledged childcare in the monumental building in addition to the existing education. In addition to BSO and pre-school care, this objective was achieved with the start of the 0-4 year-old group.
In order to emphasize that there is cooperation not only in organizational terms, but also in pedagogical approach, it has been decided to reflect the jenaplan vision in the name:
Jenaplan Child Center Alkmaar. This gave the building its own name. Within Jenaplan Kindcentrum Alkmaar, in addition to education and care, broad school activities also take place. After school, activities are regularly offered where children can become acquainted with, for example, music, technology, theater or sports. This in collaboration with partners such as Artiance, De Kaasfabriek and Alkmaar Sport.
One of the children of Bello and one of the children of Stoombol unveiled the new name with the accompanying logo in front of the rest of the children.
It was a great celebration in a small setting, the big party is still a bit late at this time.
